1400mm Trainstar Ascent, Not Too Shabby!
"I'm the guy who asked the question about ordering thru Amazon. As suspected, the solution was to order thru the exhobby.com website. If you're going to sell on Amazon, then SELL on Amazon. The plane is pretty sweet. There are some gotchas during assembly. The bolts that hold the landing gear on do not line up very well. I could get one side started, but not the other. Tried many times then decide to just waller out the holes on the aluminum part of the gear itself. That did it. Speaking of the gear, the wheel axle, which is just a 3mm or 4mm bolt, is no good. I have ordered some proper axles. Finally, the prop adapter nut rubs against the metal motor mount if seated all the way down. The nice thing about an adapter is that you can move it forward on the shaft about 1/8 inch and that frees it up. Everything else went together very well. For the price, I am amazed at the size and quality of the plane. I received two props, a 12x6(?)(can barely see pitch) and a 10x5 BOLLY HAOYE. I have the 12x6 installed and hope to maiden the plane soon. No plane is perfect and these assembly issues were minor. Therefore, 4 stars."

Took forever
"I waited an incredibly long time for the plane to arrive. I waited so long, that I actually purchased three other planes from Horizon Hobby before this one arrived. The plane itself is OK. Pretty good price as well I’ll admit. But it took way too long. I’m sure the people working and running Exhobby are good people. But I doubt I’ll ever order anything from you guys again. Nothing to do with your products. But waiting a couple of months is pretty absurd this day Amd age."

- No, the version only includes Motor, ESC and Servos these electronic parts.

- From tail to nose cone, I get 39.5 inches.

- I ordered this plane through Amazon, sold by EXHobby. I ordered it 01.15.2024 and it hasn't even shipped, yet (01.17.2024). I see in the reviews that someone received their plane in 2 days. Now, EXHobby wouldn't be purposefully lagging on shipping orders thru Amazon in order to make people create an account on your web-site and order direct, would you? Sure hope to see some movement on my order before the week is out, or I'll be cancelling that order and buying an FMS plane.
