Repair-Friendly RC Planes: The Revolutionary Detachable Access Port

The new feature of the BF-109 and the Spitfire-exhobbyrc.

Have you ever encountered a moment when a plane blows up, and when you need to open the abdomen of the plane?

The extremely cruel practice has made countless fans feel uncomfortable. The 761 series launched by EXHOBBY has a new access port, which is detachable and easy to repair after damage. There is no need to open the abdominal cavity and glue the two halves of the fuselage again.

Design Innovation: The Snap-On Belly Hatch

Traditional foam RC planes were often built in two halves, glued together at the factory. This made them strong, but accessing internal electronics (like servos or the receiver) was almost impossible without a surgical knife. Our engineers redesigned the 761-series fuselage to include a dedicated service port. This hatch is held in place by precision-molded clips that won't come loose in flight but pop open easily when you need them. This is a game-changer for long-term maintenance.

When Should You Open the Port?

You shouldn't need to open your plane often, but there are three main reasons to use the access port: 1. Servo Centering: If your plane is pulling to one side even after trimming, you may need to manually center the servo arm. 2. Receiver Binding: If you ever need to re-bind your transmitter or replace a damaged receiver. 3. Deep Cleaning: After a season of flying in dusty or damp conditions, it's a good idea to blow some compressed air through the electronics to keep them running smoothly.

EPP Foam Repair Tips

Even with the access port, you might occasionally get a crack in the wing or tail. For EPP foam, we recommend using UHU Por or a specialized foam-safe CA (Cyanoacrylate). Avoid standard "Super Glue," as it will melt the foam and create a permanent mess. If you're new to repairs, always test a small drop of glue on an inconspicuous area first.

FAQ: Repairing Your RC Warbird

How do I access the receiver in a Volantex BF-109?

Unlike older models that required cutting the fuselage, the 761 series features a snap-on belly hatch. Simply use your fingernail or a small flat tool to release the latch, and you'll have full access to the servos and receiver without any permanent damage to the foam. This is standard on our newer RC Airplanes.
