Super Easy to Fly

"And a lot of fun. If you're on the fence, just buy it already. The foam is surprisingly durable, but get extra propellers and landing gears. Try to make sure the throttle is off if you're about to crash and it will probably be fine. It comes with two batteries, they last about 10 minutes each flying, which seems like a long time when flying. Excellent value for the money. I'll probably buy a more advanced model later!"

Fun easy flying plane.

"This is a great flying plane straight out the box. The 6 Axis Gyro makes the plane very stable in fact I rarely take it out of full gryo mode. It will fly slow if that's what you like and quite fast as well. I'm more of a cruise around flyer and get a solid 15 minutes per battery. "See photos" I added the black water based craft paint on the underside just rough the surface with a light sand paper it helps for plane orientation when your flying high. Added popsicle sticks to the landing gear, and yellow to the prop. I mostly hand launch the plane but it will take off on a relatively smooth surface. It's best to fly in little to no wind as in 5 mph or less. I would purchase this plane again it's great fun at a reasonable price."

I was wrong it survived several crashes and was lots of fun

"The foam has some holes in it at the joints. These are already the weaks point. I was not happy when I opened the box, and jumped on amazon and left a bad review. But after taking it to the park and giving it a chance I have to say. I was wrong about this little plane. It flies better than any other rc plane i Have ever seen. My wife never flew anything before and had it down in like a minute. the landing gear is useless don't bother. hand launch only. leave it at home for display you will never find the tail wheel. We suck at flying and crashed over and over with no damage! but those holes seem to be getting bigger I think I will use some tape when they come off."

Fun to fly, great for beginners!

" This is my first RC airplane and it is very easy to fly. This is a 4-channel airplane so it has all of the control surfaces of the larger, more expensive airplanes. The airplane is made of a tough and durable foam. I have crashed it many times and it has not taken any damage. The battery compartment is very small so you are limited to the 360 - 380 Mah batteries. This airplane does not come with a camera, but I stuck a cheap $14 camera and VTX on just for the fun of it. I attached a picture and an FPV video so people can see what it looks like from the air. The Volantek Sport Cub 500 flies well even with a slight breeze. It's motor is not very powerful, but it has enough power for loops in intermediate and advanced mode. If you are just starting out, this is a great RC airplane to get."

A MUST HAVE for beginners!!!! Extremely durable! and the 2 batteries last about 24 min each!!!!

"This is the first RC plane I've ever owned and it is SO MUCH FUN!!!! There are 3 modes: Beginner (pull upper-right side switch towards you), Intermediate, and Advanced (push upper-right side switch away from you). Beginner mode makes jumping into this hobby a breeze. The stability control system keeps the plane steady and makes it extremely user friendly for ALL! I found myself in intermediate mode after 20 minutes in beginner. After another 2 hours and a couple crashes I am now operating in Advanced mode which is challenging. The stability system in this mode is turned off and so the flight controls are very responsive, making the plane incredibly acrobatic. This plane can take a beating! I've nosed dived into the ground, crashed into a tree, landed it in a swamp, and it's still going like new. Although I've had to reinforced parts of it with super glue and duct tape. It is so light and glides so well that the flight time between both batteries will easily last 45 minutes. And it charges in less than an hour! I can't recommend this enough. Right out of the box you'll be flying this thing in a matter of minutes. UPDATE (7/25/20) Just nosed dived into the sandy part of a baseball field and the nose snapped right off but all the flight controls and throttle are still operable! I’ve been repairing the aircraft with epoxy resin and have experienced no degradation in flight performance. MUST HAVE!!!!"

Q&A

Does the plug-in play and model at least have the receiver. I have a Jumper transmitter that binds with these planes. I would not need the controller, but I would need the receiver.
The pnp version comes with everything you need in the plane except the battery. All electronics except the transmitter, battery and battery charger are included. The pnp will work for you if you have those things.
Is there a "full size" "standard" transmitter that could be bound to the Sport Cub 500?
Hi Marvin, You can try Radio Master's TX16 or Zorro
