Great for younger kids.remote easy to learn basics

"Overall basic use and command scor this toy are pretty simple to make work even for younger kids as once they learn what the pictures are, they're easy to follow and the toy is very responsive. There is a nice variety of actions, and even the "somersault, roll over" command works flawlessly from what we've seen. It seems a bit odd though that shen pressing forward or back, it's not a quick movement matching your remote press, but it moves forward a certain distance, as well as back. Hard to maneuver in very tight spaces or obstacles. We have all wood floors and I'm not sure how some of these sliding and flipping moved would work on carpet but they're great on our floors. When it comes to programming advanced series of commands however, this is rather a pain to do efficiently. The toy doesn't do each action as you're programming so actions like moving forward and back, etc are difficult to get accurate. She's not very interested in this mode due to that. I can't blame her. I love the fact that the toy comes with a rechargable battery. I wish the remotes would start doing the same, however. My 6yr old daughter has been having a lot of fun with it the last couple of days, and although she keeps picking it up by the leg, to my relief it doesn't seem to be clicking (stripping gears) or have caused any other damage yet. Not recommended though of course."

Cool Very Cool But Loud Toy

"This little dog has become more a toy for the adults rather than a kid. Everyone wants to see it and check what it can do. This little dog is very cool. The one huge downside is it tends to be VERY loud, so you have to sort of channel it out. It really depends on if you can channel out the noise. It is a toy they tend to be noisy, and it is our job to manage that. So, when the friend's wat to see it then we can all laugh and have some joy. Don't let that annoy you, and it will bring a lot of smiles and a lot of fun for your family as well as others too. It is well worth it in the end if you ask me. One thing I haven't seen mentioned by the family is the follow me mode. I can't really speak to that part as I have not done it myself or seen the toy do it yet. But I think it is great that it does this."

Great toy but hard to put battery in.

"This toy is great for the kids. The battery that goes in the dog is a pain to put in. You will need to unscrew and then force the battery in. There are alot of different options on the remote for the dog to do. I do find that the back legs rotate backwards too far and in some of the actions it actually looks like the dog is humping the floor. You can actually control where the dog goes but it's not easy and I don't think a young kid would be able too. It barks and makes sounds and the remote controls the dog with no issues. Sometimes the dog will flip over on its back but I found mostly it will flip back over right side up without any issues. Overall a great toy for the kids."

Too cool!

"This little robot dog is just way too cool. It does 15plus different actions. I enjoyed it as much as the kids. It has an adorable greeting when turned on. The volume is adjustable with the remote, which for me was needed because it starts loud. The instructions are kind of funny because of the bad translation but you know what they meant. It dances, begs, and even does summersaults and rights itself."

Cute and Fun Remote Control Dog Toy

"This remote control dog toy is very cute and fun to interact with. Great for kids of all ages to play with or just to watch. The dog is light, but well made. The remote is easy to use, although, there is a slight learning curve to for kids."

Some flaws and misses but still fun

"This robot dog does some really fun actions and sounds that are activated by the rather obscure and poorly labeled controller. Figuring this out is a bit of a barrier but one that a determined 6 year old will likely get more easily than their grandparents. The follow function doesn’t seem to me to work very well and it is a hard to steer because you have to switch from button to button for navigation rather than use a joystick controller. The flips and turns and begging motions are a lot of fun though. It’s not really programmable it just has a repeating function. The battery connections to the charger and to the toy from the battery are fragile and inconvenient to use and are liable to break. You must remove the 600ma hour battery from the toy to recharge it. So if you don’t loose the special charger cord or break the wiring connectors you will be okay for a while at least. The charger cable does have an indicator light that lets you know when the battery is fully charged. Overall while there are concerns and flaws it is still a lot of fun. Oddly there seem to be a number of nearly identical robot dogs offered by multiple sellers with essentially the same features and flaws. I think 5-7 year olds are generally about the right age for this toy."

My two year old loves this, my wife hates it

"My two year old has played with this for at least an hour, maybe more, every day since I got this (about 4 days now so far) and while he's having an absolute blast with it, my wife hates how loud and annoying the robot is. So if kids toys talking/playing music a lot is annoying to you, maybe steer clear of this. That being said, I absolutely love this and think it's literally the coolest thing ever! The dog literally does tricks, will stand on his nose then roll over onto it's back and then roll onto it's stomach and stand up, it's just wild everything this dog can do. The remote works amazingly well, I love all the different options for music, controlling the dog rolling around, having the dog do tricks, etc. 10/10, absolutely love this and definitely recommend, your kids will totally love this!"

A fun and entertaining dog that doesn’t need treats

" We were going to pass this on to our 3-year-old grandkids. But heck no, it’s too cute and fun to play with. They can use it when they come to visit. The greeting button causes the robodog to say: “Hello Hello Zippy”. Why “Zippy”? It is actually saying something else and I’m not catching it? Maybe it’s saying “Yippy” but I’m just not hearing that. Glad there is volume control, but when I turn the robodog back on it seems to revert to LOUD. Why do kids toys always need to be so loud by default? The kids have better hearing than I do and I find it to be too much. Works well on low-pile carpet and hardwood floors. Except for the “follow me” mode on carpet. It works very poorly on that. Programming mode is a one-shot deal. You enter the mode, program your steps then hit the program mode button again. The robodog performs those actions once. I couldn’t find any way to replay or edit the sequence. The dog simply forgets them. Maybe if I gave him some electric dog yummies, he might be more cooperative. I find that most of the dog icons on the remote are rather confusing. Maybe if there was a word or two printed on the casing near each button that would improve things. Our dog is not so sure of it. He attempts to nip at it. Not aggressively just curious."

Fun little puppy!

"I ordered this for a 7-year-old and she and her 9-year-old brother both love it! It comes with a remote and can be programmed to dance and do tricks. It's cute and you don't have to feed it! It recharges in about two hours."

Fantastic toy

" Two little toy. I can't wait to program it and set it up. Right now I'm gifting it for my niece and nephew so I can't tell you exactly how it works just yet, but I will leave an updated review once I figure that out!"
