Battery & Charging Help
Safe charging basics, connector checks, storage guidance, and common battery problems for EXHOBBY RC products.
Battery & Charging Topics
- Use the correct charger for the battery type and connector.
- Charge on a non-flammable surface and stay nearby while charging.
- Do not charge a swollen, damaged, leaking, punctured, or overheated battery.
- Let batteries cool before charging after use.
- Keep batteries away from children, pets, heat, and moisture.
Check that the charger is connected to a working power source and that the battery connector is fully seated. If the battery is damaged, swollen, very hot, or still will not charge, stop using it and contact support.
Slight warmth can happen during use, but a battery that becomes too hot to touch should be disconnected and not used again until support reviews the issue.
Do not force a loose connector or damaged wire back into place. Stop using the battery and contact support with clear photos of the connector and battery label.
Follow your local battery recycling rules. Do not place LiPo batteries in household trash.
The C rating describes how much current a battery is designed to deliver safely. Use the battery type and rating recommended for your model, and do not install a higher-voltage pack unless the product manual says it is supported.
LiPo capacity slowly drops with use. Many packs show noticeable performance loss after repeated charge cycles, hard crashes, overheating, or long storage at full charge.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
- Keep them away from heat, direct sun, metal objects, children, and pets.
- For long storage, use proper storage charge if your charger supports it.
- Do not store damaged, swollen, leaking, or overheated batteries.
Stop using the battery immediately. Do not charge it, do not install it in a model, and do not try to repair it. Place it away from flammable materials and contact support or a local battery recycling center for safe disposal guidance.
If a LiPo battery will not charge or the charger refuses to start, do not try to force recovery. The pack may be unsafe. Stop using it and contact support with the battery model, charger type, and a clear description of what happened.
